Iguazu Falls

From Buenos Aires we flew to the northern part of Argentina to visit Iguazu Falls. We were lucky enough to visit not only the Argentinian side of the falls, but also cross the border to visit from the Brazilian side.

On our first day we visited the Argentinian side of Iguazu falls. We started the day with a boat trip to the base of the falls, where we got absolutely drenched under the falls! We then did several walks throughout the day, first taking the train to “Devil’s Throat” at the top of the falls, followed by the upper and lower circuit walks (along the top and the base of the falls).

On our second day we crossed the border into Brazil. Before visiting the Iguazu National Park on the Brazilian side we visited a bird park, Parque de Aves. Highlights included seeing many toucans and macaus!

We then visited Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side. 80% of the falls are within Argentina with only 20% in Brazil, but from the Brazilian side you get incredible panoramic views across the border into Argentina! It was amazing seeing the waterfalls that we can seen the day prior from a very different vantage point.

From Iguazu we fly to Rio!
