After San Pedro de Atacama we crossed the border into Argentina for the first time! Our first stop was the city of Salta in the North West of Argentina.
The bus trip from Atacama to Salta was incredible, with amazing scenery and landscapes for the whole (very long!) journey!
Our time in Salta was mostly consumed by spending time with a very lovely local dentist because of a dental emergency for Jordy! Thankfully, all went very smoothly and we were able to spend some time exploring the city of Salta, including their cable cars with views of the city!
After Salta we flew further south in Argentina to Mendoza, a wine region known in particular for its Malbec. The city itself was beautiful with lots of parks and plazas!
Our main activity in Mendoza was a tour of local wineries (in the Maipu region, just outside of Mendoza) by bike! We tried some delicious local wines, and made it safely to all the wineries and back with no damage to the bikes or to us!
From Mendoza we head back to Chile, taking the bus to Santiago!
