Copacabana

Our first stop in Bolivia was Copacabana on Lake Titicaca.

We had a couple of very slow paced days in Copacabana, both of us recovering from our trek and Jordy recovering from being unwell. The town is beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring, especially by the lake side. We also hiked up Cerro Calvario, a hill that overlooks Copacabana. Our accommodation was very quirky, but had amazing views over the lake!

We took a day trip to Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun) which is believed to be the birthplace of the first Incas. The island has incredible views of Lake Titicaca as well as some Incan ruins. We were spoiled with amazing weather for our day on the island!
