Lima & Surrounds

Our first stop in Peru was Lima, with an added stop in Punta Hermosa on the Peruvian Coast!

One of our main goals while in Lima/the coast was to find some surf for Jordy! Unfortunately the conditions weren’t very reliable, but he had a few good surfs in Punta Hermosa! Other than surfing, Punta Hermosa was a very sleepy town, so perfect for relaxing! We even tried to brush up on our Spanish by playing Spanish Monopoly (even slower than a regular Monopoly game)!

The highlight of our time in Lima was a cooking class where we learned to make chicken causa, ceviche and of course pisco sours! The food was delicious, and we met some really great people in the class.

The rest of our time in Lima was spent exploring the city, Em eating too much ceviche, and trying to watch the AFL grand final on very dodgy wifi (we won’t talk about the results). We also went to see Snarky Puppy (a jazz band) which was so good we took exactly zero photos or videos!
